The Original Pancake House
During our brief visit to Yorba Linda, we were introduced to the Original Pancake House, a delightful little, well, pancake house with some of the most delicious pancakes we’ve ever had.
Our favorite: 49-ers. Three thin pancakes stacked on top of each other. What they lack in depth, they make up in area. These pancakes cover the entire plate. More chewy and dense than say, buttermilk pancakes, and utterly delicious.
For next time: Gotta go with the Apple Pancakes. It takes 20 minutes or longer to prepare, but for good reason—this pancake looks like a giant apple cake. Definitely the opposite of the 49ers in terms of height. We were in awe when we saw it being served to a customer, and even more amazed when she managed to finish half of it. Apparently it is dangerously sweet.
